Birth Year/Age Matrix

The Natomas Youth Soccer league follows the US Soccer Federation and FIFA mandate.

Starting with the 2026/27 season, US Youth Soccer, US Club Soccer, and affiliated organizations will be transitioning from birth year registration to the school year mandate. This change will result in playing age groups being determined by the period of August 1st to July 31st, rather than the current January 1st to December 31st time frame. The chart below will assist in determining your player's new age group.

We understand that this change may cause some confusion regarding team assignments. Our registration system is designed to accurately determine each player's appropriate age group. Please be advised that all requests to play up a level require approval from the Board and DOC.
