Grassroots Academy Program
At the Natomas Youth Soccer League, our U6-U8 Grassroots Program is dedicated to igniting a passion for soccer in young athletes! We believe that every player deserves a solid foundation, and our program is designed to introduce children to the joys of recreational soccer while fostering essential skills and teamwork.
Through fun drills and friendly competitions, we cultivate an environment where kids can grow, learn, and thrive as they embark on their soccer journey. Join us and watch your child develop both on and off the field!
All games will be played "In-house" in South Natomas.
U6: In-House Program
Participants engage in an entry-level format, competing in a 4v4 match. Our U6 COED program is held in-house. Scores are not recorded. Uniform information is below.
- Practices are held once a week.
- Games are held on Friday nights and/or Saturday
- Each game lasts 40 minutes, divided into four quarters.
- This is a COED program
Program cost :$150, excludes the cost of the uniform
Fall Season: August 15th - October 25th
U8: In-House Program
Participants engage in an entry-level format, competing in a 4v4 match. Our U8 program is held in-house. Scores are not recorded. Uniform information is below.
- Practices are held once a week.
- Games are held on Friday and/or Saturday
- Each game lasts 40 minutes, divided into four quarters.
- Teams are gender specific for the U8 division.

Jersey Top (1 purple & 1 white)

What age groups are included in the U6-U8 Grassroots program??
Our recreational soccer program is designed for children aged 5 to 7. The player must be the age of 5 in the playing season to participate. Our club does not have a program for players 4 and under
Do I need to have prior soccer experience?
No prior experience is necessary! Our program welcomes players of all skill levels, from beginners to those with more experience. We focus on fun and skill development.What equipment is required for my child?
Players will need a soccer ball, shin guards, appropriate footwear (cleats) and the NYSL U6-U8 uniform kit. Please see uniforms for information.
What is the frequency of practices and games?
Practices are typically held once a week, with games on weekends. The exact schedule may vary based on the age group and season.
Can I volunteer to help with the program?

Do I need to purchase a uniform for this age group?
Yes, you will need to purchase the uniform kit if you are new to our club.
Can I receive a refund?
Our Club has a ZERO REFUND POLICY. Please note, all requests received will be reviewed by our Board of Directors. They will make the final decision to move forward with the refund.
